Infants – 6 wks to 12 months Our infants experience daily doses of love, nurturing and individual attention from our dedicated staff. The environment is filled with stimulating soft toys and equipment to encourage your baby’s first year’s growth and development. Our daily program is enriched with music, reading and other sensory based learning activities. Sign language is taught to help infants express their needs, wants and interests. You can expect daily communication about your infant’s day, including diapering, naptime and feeding. Most importantly, you can be assured your baby is spending time in an atmosphere of love and trust!

Toddler I – 12 months to 2 years As infants develop into young toddlers they become busy active learners. Our toddlers are learning about themselves and the world around them. The activities are led by each toddler’s individual skills and interests. As their language continues to develop; so does the teachings of signing and the introduction of foreign languages. Our young toddler program promotes physical, creative and social/emotional development. You can expect daily communication on our “My Day” reports.

Toddler II – 2 Years Old Our toddler twos are experiencing and learning independence. “I can do it” and “no” are common growth characteristics of two year olds. Our program will encourage their verbal expressions through the use of dictation, music and movement, signing and foreign languages. In addition, the program will provide endless opportunities to talk, sing and express themselves. The stories, creative art projects and fitness fun activities will help prepare your child for preschool; by developing his/her understanding of new concepts, language, vocabulary, sensory motor and self-help skills.

Toddler III – 2 1/2 to 3 Years Old The 2 1/2 to three year old transition program is carefully planned to promote learning and exploration while participating in a variety of language, dramatic play, sensory, fitness fun, manipulative and construction learning experiences. Your child will be provided appropriate opportunities to develop self-direction and independence.
The daily program is filled with opportunities to encourage self-help skills and for your child to develop his/her own interests at his/her own pace. Our Toddler III program will encourage your child to think, reason, remember and make choices.

Pre-School – 3 Years Old Our inquisitive preschoolers are gently guided toward making the transition from individual to group interaction; where they begin to learn sharing and social skills. Our program integrates play and structured learning activities with an abundance of literacy, computers, fitness fun, math, discovery, manipulative, creative art, music and movement experiences. Preparing our preschoolers for their next educational adventure, “V.P.K.” is paramount and included in all aspects of our daily program. By offering a wide variety of age appropriate, hands on activities, your preschooler will learn in a way that is both fun and educational.

Pre-Kindergarten – 4 Years Old The year before your child enters kindergarten is a critical time in his/her life to develop early literacy skills. Our pre-kindergarteners experience several stimulating learning centers, including math, manipulatives, science and sensorial, reading and listening, writing, computers, dramatic play, construction and design and creative art. The physical growth of each pre-k child is also very important. Daily fitness fun activities help develop the large muscles of our four and five year olds. Ongoing assessments, communicated to you twice annually via parent/teacher conferences, will keep you informed of your child’s learning progress. One of our goals is to help each child develop readiness skills for a lifetime of learning.

School Age – 5 to 12 Years Old After a full day at school, our after schoolers experience a balance of fun and learning. Our school-agers know that A.R.L.A. is a safe place to spend time before and after school. They can burn energy outside, receive help with homework, have a nutritious snack, spend time reading and meeting new friends. Our program also offers camp programs during the summer, holidays and in the spring.
